At the North Somerset Conservatives Executive meeting I was adopted to stand as the Conservative candidate for Wrington Ward in the 2015 Council Elections.

I have been a Councillor for Yatton Ward for the last 4 years - a role I have thoroughly enjoyed and will continue to do so. I work very closed with Cllr Jill Iles, a fellow Conservative, and we have acheived a great deal in the past few years. Highlights include resurfacing huge sections of Yatton High Street from Kenn to Frost Hill, super fast broadband is on it's way and Jill has sucessfully secured reinforcement of the sea defences at Kinston Seymour. We are currently working hard with local Parish Councils to ensure our residents' views on large scale housing development across the area are heard.

Earlier in the summer the Wards and boundaries in North Somerset were reviewed by central government. As a result, the number of Councillors were reduced from 61 to 50. In Yatton our Councillors have been reduced from 3 to 2 and a large part of our Ward (mainly Cleeve) moved into Wrington Ward.

We decided that I should move with that portion of the old Yatton Ward and stand for election in Wrington. I live nearby on Claverham Road and I know the area well. My son went to preschool there and I have many friends in Wrington and the surrounding villages.

I feel very priviledged to be given the potential opportunity to represent the residents in this beautiful area of our Countryside and to continue to represent our residents in Cleeve.
